HAPPY HAPPY DAY!!

I haven't updated my blog for a while cos I have been spending lots of time with my family, and didn't get much time at all to sit in front of the computer and blog. So here is what has happened in the last few days. In a previous blog, I had been stressing out about not getting a phonecall from HP to confirm a date for the final interview. I did get the call eventually, and it was on a Monday afternoon. I had my final interview yesterday morning, and it took almost 2 hours. I faced a panel of 3 people, so it was also fairly intimidating, as I had to make sure that I showed my capabilities as well as my own personality and demonstrate that I can work well at HP and fit within the HP corporate culture. It was also during the interview that I found out they were only hiring ONE graduate for the Melbourne office, not the 11 I initially thought from a previous e-mail I received, so it is incredibly competitive (2700 people applied)!

Well, I received some AWESOME news this morning. I got a call from HP, and I got a job offer! WOOOOOO HOOOOOO!!!! I cannot stop screaming (absolutely piercing screams, my bf keeps trying to get me to calm down and stop me from potentially hurting myself, LOL), I have been jumping up and down like an absolute nut, I just can't contain my excitement!! This really is such perfect timing, cos my graduation ceremony is tonight, so it couldn't be anymore fitting! On top of that, I can't believe I don't actually have to go through the whole job hunt process, cos to me, that has been the most frustrating bit. And it's so cool to be able to share such good news with my family actually here with me, rather than me telling them over the phone and be miles away. A really great start to the morning, and I couldn't ask for more!

It has been full-fledged drama and hysteria here for me, I have screamed so much, I hope I don't scare the neighbours and find cops at my door or something, LOL. Oh, what a happy day for Her Drama-ness! :)
