Is Vaughn really gone?

Hmm....I'm not entirely pleased with the progress of Season 5 of Alias so far. Is Michael Vartan truly gone from the show? I never heard any rumours/news that he was leaving so I'm not sure if he's definitely gone for good. It feels weird without him there, and I'm not crazy about the new additions either. Keeping my fingers crossed that the dead body that has been revived MAY be Vaughn, but who knows?

Stitching-wise, I started something during the week, I'm stitching a music-themed bookmark. Although fairly simple and small, it's suprisingly tedious as it's predominantly made up of backstitching, and any full stitches are scattered all over the place, and I want to get the stitches done first before getting started on the backstitching. And of course, trying to do fractional stitches on 18-count aida is painful, to say the least. When I'm finished, I also need to figure out what to do with it. I don't want to leave it as it is as I don't like floppy bookmarks but I am also not sure what I can do. A friend suggested some iron-on webbing thingy, which probably would work, hopefully the craft shops here have that. Any other ideas?

Anyways, I'm off to enjoy what's left of the weekend, work's been such a drag lately, it's always hard to go back on a Monday. Tuesday should be fun though, we have a social badminton thing, I'm really looking forward to it! Maybe I can kick some butt too, LOL. Till next time! :)

Loving my TV

YAY! All my fave TV shows are back, plus some new ones! :) I know this post comes a bit late, but with last week's drama, I thought it wasn't the best time to talk about TV then, hee hee. With everything coming back almost all at once, I haven't even had the time to watch all of my shows! Oh well, I definitely have lots of viewing material to help me get through my ironing, LOL.

Another good piece of news was that my badminton membership finally came through! I try to play badminton at least once a week (on top of gym), it's a sport that I do enjoy and of course, I would rather play badminton more than increasing the number of gym days. Court hire is $9.50 an hour, but membership for unlimited use is only $32 a month. There was a limit of 130 memberships though, and I have been on the waiting list for almost 5 months. I got a call a couple of days ago that I finally got a membership! Even if I just stuck to the usual once a week, I would already have made more than full use of my membership. The plan is to play badminton 3 times a week and go to gym twice a week. The bad thing is I find it difficult to give up food, I'm not going to have a feast every day, but I don't want to eat like a rabbit either. Well, let's hope with increase physical activity, the weight will soon start coming off anyway.

I still haven't done any stitching. I probably will start soon, I wanna stitch myself a bookmark, I think it will be a very useful item considering all the books that I'm reading now. Much better than just shoving in the nearest piece of scrap paper I can find, hee hee. I will start looking at patterns and see what I wanna use for my bookmark. Hopefully my needle will be put to work soon enough!

Oh, and try this: http://www.websudoku.com/, it's kinda fun and you can get lost in it. I solved my first puzzle yesterday, I was proud of myself! Hee hee...

Lola has been found :)

Just a quick update, Lola was found on Monday and I haven't had a chance to post an update till today. Lola was really lucky (or should I say my sister?!), she apparently ran back in the direction of my Grandma's house and actually ran up the stairs to the 14th floor (which is the wrong floor, but never mind) and was found by someone 5 minutes after my sister first lost her! While my sister was hysterically looking for her, someone else was already taking care of her! My sister didn't think to look around my Grandma's place because it was at the OTHER END from where my sister lost her. It was really good that the lady who found her was a dog lover as well, so she took good care of Lola and made sure that the dog was rightfully returned to the true owner. Apparently lots of people were making claims on Lola, so the lady was interrogating away and found all these fakes. Anyways, I could go on forever, the most important part is that my sister got Lola back thanks to a very kind lady (who asked for nothing in return, not even reimbursement of expenses even though my sister insisted), Lola is now safe and sound back at home! Thanks everyone :)

PLEASE HELP!

*Update* Lola has been found, thanks :)

My sister is absolutely distraught, she lost her dog last night. She was walking Lola, she dropped the leash and it was one of those retractable ones, it scared her and she just took off. My sister couldn't catch up with her cos she just ran so fast. I know not everyone can help, but if you're from Singapore and you're reading this, please keep an eye out and spread the word with friends and family.
