Have you missed me?

LOL. Yes, I know no shame. *wink* I have been gone for a while... just haven't felt like blogging and didn't get much chance to visit my friends' blogs too. Unfortunately, I also haven't stitched since my last post! I have just been pretty busy with work, and with the spare time that I have had, I just didn't have the urge to pick up the needle. I will start again soon though, the March 21st deadline is looming! I have done quite a bit of reading though, I'm currently at 20 books for the year, so I'm well ahead of schedule! For those who don't know, I've set myself a 100-book challenge for the year and I will need to read at least 9 books a year to hit that target. I need to transfer some of that motivation from reading to stitching, so that I will also achieve my goals with stitching!

Oh, I should also share, last weekend, I went to my first ever movie drive-in, it was fun! I didn't know what to expect so it was quite exciting. We stocked up on all sorts of nibblies and I brought along a cushion for myself. I had asked Terrence if he wanted one and the silly boy said no. When we arrived at the drive-in, we saw others had literally dragged their whole bedrooms with them, so the next time we go, we will at least bring a few pillows to be more comfy. We also had minor hiccups at the beginning, I wasn't sure where we should park and once we got a spot, I was asking incessant questions - are you sure we can park here? should we move forward? will other cars block our view? - until Terrence told me to shut up, LOL. It was an interesting experience; although I thought the screen itself was a little too dark, I definitely had fun. It was our own personal space (I don't like having strangers sit beside me at movie theatres, hee hee) and being able to talk during the movie was strangely liberating! We hope to go again in the future, we're just waiting for a change of movies, the selection of films at the drive-in is very limited.

My favourite TV show at the moment is Grey's Anatomy. I just love that show, it's one of the most compelling new shows that I've seen. Okay, it's not that new, but it's a new-to-me show. It makes me laugh, it makes me cry, it's just fabulous! I especially love Meredith and Derek, aka McDreamy, but them being apart at the moment is just killing me. I just want them to be together! Especially with the last 2 episodes, what with the bomb and all, it's just screaming for a dramatic reunion. And how sweet was Derek, remembering all those details about their last kiss. Sigh, when will those two lovebirds just get back together?! The next episode promises to be an exciting one - I think the best friend that the wife had the affair with makes an appearance, more tension, woo hoo! Hee hee.... yes, I know it's incredibly sad that I'm so hooked on a TV show, but hey, I'm a self-confessed TV junkie so I make no apologies.

Anyways, that's it from me. Sorry for the absolutely boring post, but I promise, the minute I experience any drama/scandal/adventure, you guys will be the first ones to hear about it! LOL. Till next time! *muaks*

Not so boring, silly.

When I was a kid, drive in theatres were the thing. As children, we went with my parents all the time. Then as teens, we either went in groups to laugh and be silly or with our boyfriend - well, you know ...

Not many drive in theatres left now. Too bad 'cause it sure was fun as kids.

And I love GA too. I just ordered the first season on Netflix so I can go back and catch up. It's on tonight so that's where I'll be at 10 p.m.

catch ya later and keep on reading!

Hello there :) Sounds like a great experience - wish we had a drive-in so it sounds like fun. Maybe we do and its just really hidden. I go back to work tmr so I have to say good-bye to my TV working nights you really can't keep up with TV. I'm addicted to Lost I'm still watching season 1 and I think tonight a new episode comes on, if not it will still be new to me. I'll try to check out GA - for some reason medical shows don't appeal to me funny right? TTYL Leeny

Hey, could we swap hobbies, or something. I LOVE to read, but my stitching gets in the way, so I have the same prob, only the other way around. Your trip to the drive-in cinema sounded very good to me. Only wouyld you mind not giving away the plot of Grey's Anatomy?! I'm a fan too (well, Jula especially), but here, they just started the first season :D
Oh, and no worries re. our RR: I haven't even started yet!

i keep telling myself i will go to a drive in cinema one day...
